Within 10 business days of receiving the request, the Commission will either acknowledge a proper request or notify the requester of any deficiencies with the request. Communications from the Commission will be sent by e-mail unless the requester designates otherwise on the form.
For acknowledged proper requests, within 15 business days of acknowledging receipt, the Commission will either:
1) Provide the requester with a substantive response to a standard request, in electronic form, to an email address provided by the requester, or through another agreed-upon method; or
2) Notify the requester that the request qualifies as a time-intensive request and provide the requester with the estimated fee for providing the requested records. The estimated fee is based on the Commission’s costs for identifying and processing the requested records.
The requester shall pay the estimated fee to the Commission to initiate the processing of the request. Once the request is processed, the Commission will notify the requester of the total fee and the remaining unpaid balance. Once any remaining balance on the fee is paid to the Commission, the Commission will provide the responsive records to the requester, in electronic form, to an email address provided by the requester, or through another agreed-upon method.
