The Federal Affairs Section is responsible for monitoring existing and proposed federal policy issues which may affect the electric industry. Generally, the majority of these policy issues are the result of actions taken at the U.S. Congress, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and/or the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In addition to monitoring the actions and processes surrounding these policy issues, the Federal Affairs section also submits comments, on behalf of the Commission, in these proceedings when deemed necessary.
